OASIS Scholarship 2019-20 : WB Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC

OASIS Scholarship The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe students studying at post matriculation or post secondary stages to enable them to complete their education.The Government of India bears the entire expenditure beyond the committed liability which is to be borne by the State Government.

The committed liability of the State government is equal to the sum total of expenditure incurred during the closing year of the last plan period.

Oasis Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2019

To get the scholarship amount, the applicant’s need to meet the required eligibility criteria mentioned below. Check the scholarship level and its corresponding eligibility criteria carefully before filling up the online registration form.

1. Pre-matric scholarship for SC students Applicant should be a student of class 9th and 10th and belong to SC category. The family/guardian income should not be more than INR 2 Lakh per annum from all sources.
2. Pre-matric scholarship for ST students A student must belong to the ST category. Students of class 9th and 10th are eligible to apply. The annual family/guardian income should not be more than INR 2 Lakh from all sources.
3. Post-matric scholarship for SC/ST students You should be studying at the post-secondary or post-matriculation level and belong to SC/ST category. The annual income of parents/guardian should not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh from all sources.
4. Post-matric scholarship for OBC students Applicant should be studying at the post-secondary level and belong to OBC category. The annual income of the family/guardian from all sources should not be more than INR 1 Lakh.

 

 West Bengal Oasis scholarship 2019 Application Process

Eligible and interested candidate needs to follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for Oasis scholarship 2019. Applicants need to fill up and submit the form in online mode before the Oasis Scholarship 2019 last date at oasis.gov.in.

Step 1: Registration

This is the first and foremost stage in this process. You need to visit the official website. Choose the district where your institution is based. A page for verification of caste certificate will appear. Fill in all details and click on submit. Once the caste certificate is verified, you will be directed to the online registration page.

Step 2: Oasis login to complete the application

    • On successful registration, you can download your user id/application number and password through “Download login information/acknowledgement slip” button.
    • Click on the “Login Now” button using your application number/user id and password.

Step 3: Verifying and Locking of Oasis application

Once you have filled all your information in the application form. You can click on the “Verify and Lock” button to lock all the information filled.

NOTE: Once you have locked the information filled, you cannot make any changes further. So, make sure you enter the correct information in the application form.

Step 4: Print the application

After successful locking, the application form, click on the “Download Application Form” button and take the printout of the application form at oasis.gov.in.

Step 5: Submission of printed application form

Submit the printed copy of duly-filled application form along with the copies of all supporting documents to your concerned BDO (Block Development Officer) for Block area or PO cum DWO for municipality corporation.

West Bengal Oasis Scholarship 2019 Application Status

The Oasis scholarship portal also offers the facility of tracking the current application status to all its users.

  1. Visit the official page.
  2. Click on the “Track an application” button.
  3. Select the district where your current institution is situated.
  4. Fill details like application serial number/user id, applied district and session to track your application.

Document Verification

The concerned authority verifies the documents to check whether all the details submitted by the applicants are genuine or not. The registered applicants need to carry a set of certificate and document in the original form.

  • Date of birth certificate
  • One valid govt ID proof
  • One passport size photograph
